Jobs in Sports Tech (jobsinsportstech.com) is operated by XPND Ventures (ABN 668 686 020), which is the data controller for the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@jobsinsportstech.com.
We keep personal information to a minimum. We do not sell it, and we never share it with employers or recruiters.
If you sign up for job alerts — on this site, through the sign-up prompts on our pages, or by asking our Claude connector — we store:
We use this only to send you job alerts and our job email, and to understand which pages and partners bring subscribers. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
If you use Jobs in Sports Tech inside Claude, Claude sends our server the search details needed to answer your request (for example a job title, region or level). We use them to return results and do not store them with anything that identifies you.
We never receive your conversation. If you ask Claude to subscribe you to job alerts, we receive only the email address and preferences you give for that purpose, and handle them as described above. Your conversation itself is handled by Anthropic under its own privacy policy.
We count page views to understand how the site is used. We do not use cookies or advertising trackers for this. For each page view we record the page, the referring page, campaign tags in the link, an approximate country from your time zone setting, and a visitor code made from your IP address, browser and the date. That code changes every day and cannot be traced back to you; the IP address itself is never stored.
We also record which employer listings are clicked, and the words typed into the site search, without anything that identifies the person.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the site.
To avoid asking you to sign up twice, the site saves a small note in your own browser’s storage once you have signed up, or if you close a sign-up prompt. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
If you post a job, we store the job details and the contact name and email you give, to review and publish the listing and to contact you about it.
When another website shows our jobs widget, we do not collect information about its visitors. Their browser loads the list from our servers, which keep standard technical logs for a short period. Links in the widget and in our weekly list carry campaign tags so we can see which sites send visitors.
We use these providers to run the service, each under its own data protection terms:
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK and EU under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to stop using it, or for a copy of it. Email hello@jobsinsportstech.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK or the authority in your EU country.
The site is for people looking for work and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell subscribers about significant changes by email.
